Have you been looking for a reason to return to the Crysis Trilogy? Maybe you’re one of the gamers who only heard whispers of the infamous PC Killer – Does the phrase “But can it run Crysis?” ring any bells? Either way, Crytek wants you to experience all three titles. Coming this autumn is the Crysis Remastered Trilogy, including all three shooters in one bundle.

The Teaser Trailer

Crytek has teamed up with Saber Interactive to optimize all three titles for current consoles and PC hardware. But wait a minute! Wasn’t the first Crysis remastered already? Indeed, Crytek released the remastered first game of the series on September 18th, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Crysis Remastered features might hint at the trilogy’s enhancements

The first remaster featured 60 frames per second (fps) at 1080p resolution on performance and ray tracing modes for all systems. PlayStation 5 runs the game at 60fps, 1800p on quality mode. The Xbox Series X’s quality mode runs the game at 60fps at 4K. Xbox Series S falls behind with 60fps at 4K. For ray tracing modes, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 offer 60fps at 1440p, while the Series S provides 30fps at 1080p. One can assume similar enhancements for the sequels, but let’s wait for official details.

Due to releasing Crysis Remastered in 2020, Crytek will offer both sequels for separate purchases. That’s a meaningful move, considering those who purchased the first remaster would have to rebuy the game again. Crytek has not released pricing information for the separate editions of the enhanced sequels.

Be on the lookout for the bundle on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S! Coming Fall, 2021!
