Now that the dust has settled from the 2022 NFL Draft its time to look at Fantasy Football! Rookie Dynasty Drafts are going to start soon. So lets take a look at the Top 12 prospects that you should be drafting.
Top 12 Rookie Dynasty League Rankings
12. Isiah Spiller – RB – LAC
For the past couple years Spiller looked to be the #1 running back in his class. But a poor showing at the combine, in addition to a sub par season he falls almost out of the first round completely. He should be able to carve out a decent role in the Chargers offense, but don’t expect him to be a top tier back for a few years.
11. George Pickens – WR- PIT
Injuries have played a large role in Pickens falling in this Dynasty Rookie Rankings. But as a freshman he looked to be every bit of a true WR1 in the NFL. His PFF rating in 2019 was higher than Jerry Jeudy, Justin Jefferson, Devonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle. If he can get back to form he will make a splash immediately for Pittsburg. However, if Pitt doesn’t have a clear path for Pickett, production may take some time for Pickens.
10. James Cook – RB – BUF
I hate to compare him to his brother so I wont. James Cook is more of a scat back/pass catcher. I like his role falling to Buffalo. He will be predominantly the 3rd down back. So if you are in a PPR league his value goes up. That is why Im placing him over Spiller for this Dynasty Ranking.
9. Christian Watson – WR- GB
I have to admit, I almost put Watson much higher on this list. But we are talking dynasty here. Watson might be the best WR in the class out of the gate. However, Aaron Rodgers isn’t promised past this year. That’s where the dynasty aspect comes in. I can project him to be pretty good year 1. After that, it’s tough to predict because of the QB situation in GB. If you are shooting for the moon this year, take your shot earlier than 9 on Watson.
8. Chris Olave – WR – NO
Similar to Christian Watson the QB question mark in NO is a concern. Olave has the talent to be the best WR in this deep class. I just don’t love his landing spot. Winston has proven to be an inconsistent QB at best. Sean Peyton is no longer calling the plays. All of those issues go into Olave being the Top WR to falling to 8.
7. Sky Moore – WR – KC
The opposite side of the coin from Watson and Olave is Sky Moore. He benefits not only from having a Top 5 QB. Plus, the departure of Tyreek Hill opens up quite a few targets in the prolific KC offense. Moore should be able to slid right in and make an immediate impact on the field and in fantasy. He moves up my board based on location, location, location.
6. Garrett Wilson – WR – NYJ
The Jets are going to be an interesting team to watch this year. With a ton of young talent it tough to say who is going to be “The Guy”. However, Wilson steps in as the immediate WR1 and should see a large amount of targets. Even though I don’t fully trust Zack Wilson at QB just yet, his target shares alone should make up for poor QB play. Wilson is as complete as they come at WR.
5. Jameson Williams – WR- DET
Williams lands in an interesting spot. The Lions NEED a WR1. When Jared Goff was healthy, Dan Campbell was calling the plays and the O-Line was intact for Detroit, their offense looked pretty good. Williams is coming off an injury. He is not the Dynasty Rookie you want if you are looking for production the first half of 2022. He is a good dynasty play though. In my league we get Rookies for 5 years when they are drafted. So 4 1/2 good years from Jameson will be just fine, if your team is set up for the wait.
4. Treylon Burks – WR – TEN
Coming into this offseason I loved Treylon as the #1 WR in Dynasty Football Rookie Rankings. He has the speed and body type to impose his will on the NFL. At 6’4″ 225 and running a 4.5 he has all the attributes to be a legit NFL WR. I like him going to TEN after they traded AJ Brown. He will be someone you could be starting as early as week 1 of the NFL Season! He is my #1 target in this years draft.
3. Drake London – WR – ATL
I have to hand it to Braylon Edwards, last week be broke down film on London and I bought in hook line and sinker. Apparently so did the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta took Drake as the first WR off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has the ability to high point jump balls, he runs great routes and has good speed. With Calvin Ridley being a mystery, the opportunity for London to step in and see a high volume of targets is right there. Can Mariota get him the ball? That’s the biggest question. But Id risk it for the first option in a traditional effective Falcons offense.
2. Breece Hall – RB – NYJ
A lot of mocks have Breece as the sure fire 1.01 in all Dynasty Rookie Drafts. I’m not quite there. I do like Hall. I just think a lot of people are overlooking Michael Carter and his impact on the Jets offense. Carter was solid last year in his rookie campaign and I only see him growing off of last year. Breece will definitely get his fair share of the carries but he is not the run away #1 over all that I keep seeing. However, if Carter continues to have health issues that vaults Hall right back into that conversation.
1. Kenneth Walker Jr. – RB – SEA
I’m not sure why people aren’t hopping all over the Walker train. He had by far the best landing spot of any of the RBs in the draft. Not only will the Seahawks lean heavy on the run game due to Russel Wilson’s exit, but I’m also hearing rumor’s of Seattle cutting Chris Carson to save $10 Million. If that happens Walker is not only the Top RB in this Dynasty Rooke Draft, he should be considered a Top 10 back in redraft leagues.
