AEW Dynamite Recap 2/15/23

31

The ladies took center stage as Wednesday nights AEW Dynamite came to us live from Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas. Ruby Soho, Toni Storm and Dr. Britt Baker DMD faced off in a triple threat match. Ruby has been stuck in the middle of a war going on between the outsiders and the home grown stars of AEW which doesn’t look like it will end soon.

The action packed main event saw some interference from Saraya late in the match. In which she spray painted a green L on Toni Storms ring gear only for her to ram her butt in Britt Bakers face in the corner of the ring. All of that effort still did not help Storm win the match as Ruby would end up getting the roll up cover on Baker for the win.

Opening Contest

As of lately AEW has been getting criticized for the amount of blood it’s been showing on tv. However, I’m all for it just don’t over due it. Unlike what happened in the second contest of the night. As Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley faced Rush and Preston Vance. This contest didn’t even make it to the ring as Rush and Vance started the fight out in the crowd. Moxley soon would end up getting busted open by Vance. Bleeding all over the arena, once the action did resume in the ring. The match was energetic and kept the crowd hanging on to every pinfall as Claudio and Moxley would gain the victory.

Other Matches

Orange Cassidy, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn defeat Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh and Sonjay Dutt
Mark Briscoe defeats Josh Woods “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry defeats Brian Cage “Hangman” Adam Page defeats Kip Sabian

MJF Promo

AEW champion MJF is still on a run to make everyone notice that he is the best wrestler in the world. Tonight he attempted to pay off Christopher Daniels to speak to everyone watching and in attendance in Texas. However, it didn’t go as planned. As Daniels turned down the money and warned MJF of the fight ahead of him against Bryan Danielson at Revolution. Frustrated with Daniels lack of respect for him, MJF snapped and attacked the Fallen Angel Chris Daniels with the Salt of the Earth armbar. Bryan then showed up to save Daniels as MJF fled holding up the title on his way up the entrance ramp.

Final Thoughts

Overall, a solid show from AEW Dynamite on Wednesday heading towards Revolution. They even announced a few other matches that night for the PPV. So hopefully now all thats left is to build on the match ups and feuds moving forward to March 5th.
