Amon-Ra St. Brown is breaking records and making national headlines
It has been a banner week for Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. First, he was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after he became the first player in NFL history to tally at least eight receptions and a touchdown in six consecutive games. Against the Commanders, he caught nine passes for 116 yards with a pair of touchdowns.
With this first-quarter TD reception, Amon-Ra St. Brown now has a touchdown in six straight games dating back to last season.

Then after the game, he called out the Commanders for passing him on the draft.
"I don't forget things like that. …Imma give every team hell"

It didn’t stop there. Head Coach Dan Campbell praising him on his physicality on a key block he made on Sunday.
Then on Thursday on SportsCenter, he spoke to Sage Steele about the comments about the Commanders, including the no disrespect aimed towards Dyami Brown, the receiver Washington chose instead in the draft.
The influence of his father on him and his two brothers.
“He was our trainer. He did everything with us. Whether I was playing football, basketball, soccer, he was at every practice. Every game, never missed a game. It was, it was tough, I would say, but for me, having lived that life my whole life, it was kind of normal, you know, coming home from school, going to the.
Then going to practice and whatnot. All those things were normal to me, but some people from the outside they’re look at looking in, they think it might be a lot, but for me it was a normal life. That’s the life I lived. I’m so glad that, that he was there for me.”
On what makes Dan Campbell so unique.
“He wants to win just as bad as us, if not even more so to have a coach like that. That’s so passionate about football, so passionate about winning.
And one of the biggest things is, yeah, everyone sees, his media, his, his post-game interviews, all his interviews, but for us, man, he cares about us. That’s something has players we love, he was a former player. He knows what it’s like to, after a game being sore, or being injured, having to come back.
So his caring for his players is something that as a player, I can really appreciate about him.”
Detroit Lions’ fans already are shining the light on Amon-Ra St. Brown each week at Ford Field. Now, it’s the national media’s turn to do the same.
