Dan Campbell is now #2 in Coach of the Year Odds

There was a lot of hype surrounding the Detroit Lions entering the NFL season, with the team being a popular pick to win the NFC North and many betting on head coach Dan Campbell to win NFL Coach of the Year.

However, after a 1-6 start, it seemed like those bets were no longer viable. But the Lions have since rallied. Detroit has won six of their last seven games and now have a good chance of making the playoffs.

As a result, Campbell鈥檚 odds of winning Coach of the Year have improved significantly.

He was at 250-to-1 a month ago, but is now at +175, behind only Nick Sirianni of Philadelphia. If the Lions do make the playoffs, Dan Campbell has a good chance of winning the award.

The Coach of the Year award often goes to the coach of a team that exceeds expectations. While the Eagles were expected to be good this season, nobody anticipated them being 13-1.

The Lions, on the other hand, were expected to improve but not necessarily be playoff contenders. If they do make it to the postseason, it could be seen as a significant accomplishment and boost Campbell鈥檚 chances of winning the award.
