For the first time in the club’s history, the Detroit Lions are fostering a new kind of pack – The Pride Unleashed. This initiative, spearheaded by the team in partnership with Strategic Staffing Solutions, allows dog owners and Lions fans to form a unique community, blending their passion for football and their furry friends.
The program was proudly announced by Detroit Lions’ Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand, Emily Griffin. “We couldn’t be more excited to launch The Pride Unleashed,” Griffin said. “This community will connect Lions fans who are also enthusiastic dog lovers. We understand that pets are part of the family, and now they can join in the fan experience too.”
Pawsome Perks and Prizes
Beyond just barking their support for the team, members of The Pride Unleashed community get access to exclusive merchandise, events, experiences, and prizes. There’s even the opportunity to have their beloved dogs showcased on Lions’ social media accounts, the official ThePrideUnleashed.com, and the Ford Field videoboards during home games.
Membership in The Pride Unleashed comes in two packages, a free and a premium option. Both plans offer entry into member-only sweepstakes, an annual exclusive event, a customized membership certificate, and The Pride Unleashed decal sticker. The premium membership, priced at $45 per season, adds even more value with a leash, collar, aluminum dog tag, and a rope disk toy. It also offers an invite to an additional members-only event each year.
Barking with the Big Dogs
The inaugural year of The Pride Unleashed will feature two unique events. ‘Yappy Hour’ and dog park meetups will give members and their pups a chance to interact with current Lions players. Additionally, Lions Legends and front office staff will be taking part along with their own dogs. Details on membership can be found at www.ThePrideUnleashed.com.

Join the Pack: Adoption Day on the Horizon
For those Lions fans looking to grow their own pride. Pet Supplies Plus is set to host a dog adoption day at Detroit Lions Training Camp. It will be at their headquarters and training facility in Allen Park, Mich. The event will take place on August 3, 2023, with gates opening at 7:30 AM. Generous giveaways and fun swag will be available for attendees of all ages. Plus, adoption costs for dogs from Bottle Babies Rescue, Friends of Detroit Animal Care & Control, and Bark Nation will be covered by Purina Pro Plan.
