Detroit Red Wings Promote Kris Draper to Assistant General Manager

19

On June 30th, 1993, the Detroit Red Wings made a remarkable acquisition when they obtained Kris Draper from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for future considerations. Draper’s arrival turned out to be one of the most significant steals in Red Wings’ history, as he went on to spend an impressive 17 seasons with the team, contributing to the capture of 4 Stanley Cups, all for the nominal fee of $1.

Now fast-forward, Kris Draper being the Director of Amateur Scouting for the Red Wings, has earned a well-deserved promotion to the role of Assistant General Manager. Having personally witnessed Draper’s tireless efforts and commitment, I can confidently say that this promotion is justly earned. With the brilliant mind of Kris Draper continuing to help guide the organization, the future of the Detroit Red Wings is in excellent hands for years to come.
