We live in the middle of Michigan vs Michigan State territory. So when Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole earlier this season it set the tone for the up coming college seasons.
Now, I’m not blaming the fight in Ann Arbor on Green. But, Greg Anthony is blaming the Golden State Warriors 6-9 start on the former Spartan.

On NBA TV Greg was quotes as saying “I go back to when all the craziness started with Draymond Green and Jordan Poole… That is a seminal moment for me. This group is [still] dealing with that… This is not a cohesive unit.”
There may be some truth to that but if you take a deeper dive into the struggles its pretty easy to see why the team is having a rough start. Their bench is one of the worst in the league. The starters numbers are on par with the best starting 5 in the NBA. But, when the Warriors try to get those guys a rest the game goes out the window.
The Warrior are winless on the road, losing games to Detroit and Orlando. Both of whom are considered bad teams.
The reigning NBA Champs will get it together, I have no doubts in that.
Greg Anthony is probably wrong. But, he could be right. Liking your teammates is an import aspect to any championship team.
Our own Terry Foster will tell you tales of Isiah Thomas breaking his hand on Bill Laimbeer’s head. The Bad Boys were a different breed. Maybe they were more well equipped to handle that type of friction and still come out as winners.
Draymond Green is a from Saginaw and I’m sure grew up a Bad Boys fan. Let’s hope for his sake that this is a blip on the radar.
