Fantasy Football Waiver Wins Week 4

58

The great mystery that is the 2020 NFL fantasy football season shifted from injury inspired opportunity in week 3 to rookies in week 4.

The impending Fantasy Football week 4 reality for many teams could very well be decided on the waiver wire this week, as rookies and break out players replace handcuffs and backups

QB Fantasy Football Week 4

Justin Herbert LAC (Rookie) –

The 3rd quarterback taken in this year’s draft had his official coming out party last week with 300+ passing yards in his first start. If he is available, do everything you can to add his big arm and long legs to your starting lineup. (Keenan Allen benefits huge from this.

Nick Foles CHI

I hate this guy, even though he was briefly a Spartan. But you can’t deny the multitude of weapons at his disposal. I wouldn’t plan on winning any championships if you’re starting him though. Cam Newton would look nice in the 14th round of your fantasy football draft right now, wouldn’t he?

RB Fantasy Football Week 4

Carlos Hyde SEA –

Chris Carson’s days as a fantasy starter are coming to a close. The dirty hit he fell victim to Sunday didn’t help that timeline. Insert waiver wire pick up Carlos Hyde. No one wants to draft him, but he continues to put up numbers. If and when he takes the job in SEA, he will be starting in every fantasy league.

Anthony McFarland Jr PIT (Rookie) –

The Pittsburgh RB situation is extremely similar to the one in Seattle. Add in the injury prone nature of starter James Conner and you get a top 5 handcuff in the Steel City pretty much annually. McFarland used his first meaningful NFL touches to cement himself in that handcuff role. Be patient…McFarland promises to payoff at some point this Fantasy Football season.

WR Fantasy Football Week 4

Justin Jefferson MIN (Rookie)

One of my personal favorites of this year’s rookie class, Jefferson dominated college football last year and stepped into Stefon Diggs’ target share as a week 1 starter in Minnesota. He absolutely blew up for 7/175/1 on Sunday. The best WR in Minnesota has arrived. Must grab if he is on waivers. Pass on him at your own risk.

Brandon Aiyuk SF (Rookie)

The 49ers seem to spend capital on WR’s every year. This year, they finally got it right with Aiyuk. He eclipsed 100 total yards and looked to be the featured weapon while Kittle is out. But he may be even better with Kittle back. Smash the add button.

Tee Higgins CIN (Rookie)

The third rookie wide-out on our list looks to have a bright future as Burrow’s preferred down field option. Boyd is the #1 receiver for now. AJ Green is cooked. Higgins is the perfect jump ball, big bodied receiver every rookie quarterback needs to succeed in the league. Don’t be surprised when Tee takes over the top spot in the Cinci WR corps.

TE Fantasy Football Week 4

Mo Alie-Cox IND

Paris Campbell is out of the picture, and that means more production for the TE position in Indy, where quarterback Phil Rivers already loves to deliver the ball. Enter the uber athletic Mo Cox on the waiver. He probably sat on your waiver wire a week longer than he should, but you wont get that chance again. He has the perfect situation to be the next Darren Waller-type, out of no where TE that wins fantasy leagues this year.

Robert Tonyan GB –

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t had a TE he liked since Jermichael Finley..and Richard Rodgers for about one play. That looks to change with 3rd year man Tonyan. Originally drafted by the Lions in 2017, Tonyan can do a bit of everything, including get down the field and post up in the end zone. Don’t sleep on this kid if you’re hurting at TE in Fantasy Football.

DEF/ST Fantasy Football Week 4

I won’t be giving any pick here because everyone should stop playing with defensive special teams. It’s lame. It’s boring. Its so 2011. IDP picks coming next week!
