Lafayette and American Coney have long been a part of Detroit debate.
Well now your options are limited to just American Coney Island.
The health department was notified that rodents were seen, said Detroit public health officer, Denise Fair Razo.
“We didn’t see rodents, but we did see substantial evidence in the form of droppings that suggested that there were rodents there,” Fair Razo remarked. “Whenever there are rodents in the facility, we respond.”
Good news is it wasn’t Al Avila leaving the droppings.
Here’s the closed sign on the door of Lafayette Coney Island in downtown Detroit. The iconic eatery has been closed down by the health department over rodent concerns.
