Larkin, Husso save Red Wings in Shootout to Earn Fourth Straight Win

Late in the third period the Detroit Red Wings had a meltdown taking two penalties in crunch time.  Arizona Coyotes’ Jakob Chychrun tied the game with 26.7 seconds left in the third with a shot that deflected off Mo’ Seider past Husso.  After what was an intense overtime with both teams having many scoring opportunities this game would head to a shootout. Detroit’s 2nd of the year.

Ville Husso who played stellar all game, besides a few bad breaks with deflections. Was flawless in the shootout. Stopping all three shots he faced.  Husso notched 22 saves on the night, improving his record to 8-2-3 on the season. Detroit Red Wings Captain Dylan Larkin who was a menace on the ice tonight, recording nine shots on goal. Would seal the deal with a beautiful shootout goal improving the Red Wings to 11-5-4 on the season (3rd in the Atlantic). Larkin who is on a contract year, has been showing he will be worth every dollar.

Hronek’s Stays HOT for the Red Wings

Filip Hronek continued to be force in the offensive zone tonight, scoring his sixth goal in six games he now has 18 points on the year(6G, 12A). Hronek recorded two points tonight also assisting on Andrew Copp’s power play goal in the first period. He now leads the team in plus minus with a +10 on the season.  Lucas Raymond spoke on Hronek’s recent hot streak saying “Everything he shoots is going in”.
