NFL Best Bets and Player Props for Week 8

Let’s just win all of our bets today. I have a great card to share with everyone. Week 8 of the NFL and I am back with all of my favorite best bets and some player props that I will be playing today. I am doing the dirty work and diving into all the data and analytics to try and find the best plays for the full slate of games today, so you don’t have to.

Last week, for the second week in a row, my picks went 8-7. Sitting at 16-14 on the season, just a few wins over .500 now. With a great slate of games throughout today, I have a pretty good feel for today’s games and some players props that I love. All the game picks and player props are all straight bets, and at the bottom I have my parlay for today. Let’s get started, here are my picks for NFL week 8:

GAME PICKS:

Bears +10 (@Cowboys)

Coming off a pretty good win vs. the Patriots on the road, the Bears actually showed a little bit of life in their offense. We all saw last week the small struggles within the Cowboys teams against the Lions, and that is what I think we will see again in this game. Double digit underdogs, but I believe the Bears keep this one close and give the Cowboys a run at it. The Bears have kept every game within 10 points this season besides one time vs. the Packers. Give me the bears and the 10.

Raiders -1.5 (@Saints)

After last weeks dominate win over the Texans, the Raiders seem to be rolling on all cylinders on offense right now all thanks to Josh Jacobs. This is a football team with probably the most potential in the league, and they tapped some of it last week. On the other end, I don’t think anyone in the country knows what is going on with the Saints QB situation. They have struggled to put a full game together, and I really don’t see it happening vs. this Raiders team.

Giants +3 (@Seahawks)

The story of the NFL right now, both of the New York teams just coming out of nowhere when no one expected it. I know, the Seahawks are on a two game winning streak, beating the Cardinals and Chargers. But, this Giants team might have shown the most fight over any other team in the NFL this season. It’s hard to fade this team right now, so I have to stick with one of the hottest teams in football. Give me the Giants today to cover in Seattle.

Packers +11 (@Bills)

This pick was hard to give out. Everyone is probably expecting the Bills to blow out this Packers team. We all know how great the Bills have been and on the other side, all the struggles Green Bay is dealing with. The only thing, is Aaron Rodgers is still a back to back reining MVP. Even without the weapons, I think the Packers keep this game close. You will not catch me fading Aaron Rodgers in a prime time game.

TOTALS:

Cardinals/Vikings o49

I love this over and I love this game. We all know the rumors of how good Kirk Cousins is in 1 PM games compared to prime time games. This is a perfect example of that. I am not choosing a side in this game, but I will hammer the over. With how good Kirk Cousins is in that 1 PM slot, they always seem to put up a ton of points at home (averaging 28 PPG at home). On the other side of the ball, the Cardinals are also giving up over 28 PPG this season so this is a no brainer play.

Dolphins/Lions o51.5

Going forward, I really hope we don’t have to convince anyone to take Detroit Lions overs. Last week was brutal to watching on an over aspect. But, this Lions offense, when healthy, can put up some numbers. Especially going against a quick and high powered Miami Dolphins offense today. I really am expecting to see a similar game to week 1 vs. the Eagles.

Commanders/Colts u39.5

If you have backed my picks, almost every week I have just gotten into a habit of betting the Colts unders. It seems like one of the safest bets on Sundays as well. Both of these teams tho only average around 17 PPG. Neither of these offenses seem to have found any sort of stride, and both are working with back up QBs now, with Heinicke and Ehlinger now leading both teams today. Don’t expect this game to be very exciting or have any points at all.

Josh Allen (BUF) 39.5 Rush Yards
