Pistons Trade Saddiq Bey to the ATL

Not a moment after Brandon (Kool-Aid) of Woodward Pistons was talking about trade rumors of Saddiq Bey to Golden State, it is now a done deal. With a twist. He is heading to Atlanta.

As Brandon pointed out why the Pistons would take a flyer for James Wiseman.

“Saddiq Bey and Wiseman are on two different ends of the spectrum. Bey has found his NBA footing, while Wiseman is still a project and figuring things out. Troy Weaver has been intrigued by Wiseman since the 2020 NBA Draft, but that the Warriors may be more interested in Bey than the Pistons are with potential returns. Which by my estimation is a good thing as this deal wouldn’t make the Detroit Pistons better today.

A move like this would bolster the center position behind Jalen Duren, which has been a big issue. With the injury to Marvin Bagley III, and Nerlens Noel not proving viable, playing two bigs at the same time gets tough. Fans wondered why Isaiah Stewart and Duren weren’t playing together as much, so the addition of Wiseman could help”.

In 21 games this season, Wiseman has averaged 6.9 points per game. Stay tuned to Woodward Pistons on YouTube with more details on the trade.
