Art and Ace Talk Wonderboy win, Aldo dominating Vera, future UFC cards, and more!
The Art Of Combat Podcast recapped the UFC Vegas 17 card on Sunday and you can check out the entire episode now! The card featured a key Welterweight match up between Stephen Wonderboy Thompson and Geoff Hands Of Steel Neal. The boys also talked what the future holds for fighters like Jose Aldo, Greg Hardy, and more!
Stephen Thompson put on a dominant performance over Geoff Neal on Saturday night and earned a UD victory. Thompson proved once again that he is a hard code to crack as Neal just couldn’t seem to keep up. With a win over Neal, Thompson wants Masvidal next, but I don’t see that fight happening any time soon in the UFC. Although Thompson has already beat Masvidal once, Jorge will most likely fight Covington next.
Aldo also proved he’s a tough one to crack with his UD victory over Marlon Chito Vera. The fight went to decision but Aldo put on a clinic against Vera. Body shots and clinch worked proved to be successful against the 16-6 Vera. After the fight Aldo used his post fight UFC interview to call out former champ TJ Dillashaw. Although Dillashaw is currently suspended for a failed drug test he is eligible for return in late January 2021.
