The Detroit Lions are making their presence known within the NFL.

Earlier this week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that three Detroit Lions executives were appointed to four league committees for the 2022 season.

Those three executives were Owner Sheila Hamp, General Manager Brad Holmes, and President Rod Wood. This presence within the NFL shares a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes progress that the Lions have made under this new regime.

In a new role, Sheila Hamp will now help oversee the NFL Foundation Committee. She will continue her seat on the NFL’s Fan Engagement and Major Events Committee.

“Impacting the community we live and play in is the responsibility of every NFL team and is something we take great pride in at the Detroit Lions,” Hamp said in a statement. “I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with leaders across the league to ensure the NFL continues to do its part in our communities.”

The NFL General Managers Advisory Committee, appointed only seven general managers. Brad Holmes is now one of them. He joins GM’s from the Saints, Chargers, 49ers, Browns, Commanders and Seahawks.

Rod Wood will re-claim his seat on the NFL Investment Committee for the 6th season in a row.

The NFL Fall Committee Meeting will take place on October 18 & 19 in New York.
