It was another great night of fights last night at the UFC Apex. Glover Teixeira once again proving age is nothing but a number. He defeated Thiago Santos in the third round via choke. He survived some early heavy hits from Santos in the first round & got him to the ground where he seemed to control Santos for most of the fight. Ultimately he would sink the choke in the third round & stated his claim for a title shot to president Dana White. Unfortunately for Glover, it looks like he鈥檒l be waiting on the sideline as the current Light Heavyweight champion Jan is expected to fight current Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya sometime in early 2021.
One fight that caught a lot of attention was Max Griffin vs Ramiz Brahimaj. It was a gruesome injury to watch, but Ramiz鈥檚 ear was almost entirely falling off due to a heavy strike from Griffin. It was an immediate stoppage from the referee in the third round.
Darren Elkins & Andrei Arlovski both got their hands raised last night. Unfortunately fan favorite Claudia Gadelha lost by decision. Another fight night in the books. Looking forward to this coming weekends Makhachev vs Dos Anjos main event.
