Charlie* Batch, was a second round pick. Doesn’t count. Jon Kitna wasn’t drafted by the Lions… or anyone. He was signed as an undrafted free agent.

Man I must’ve missed all those Pro Bowls Tracy Walker has been to. Let me check how many he’s been to again. It’s zero. He is a nice player. But some of you act like the Lions have Ed Reed hurt on the sidelines.

If you’re so sure he’ll sign with Detroit in free agency, why give up assets to get him in a trade? But it sounds like Yzerman has to sign him because having three players who grew up Red Wings fans means we’re Stanley Cup contenders right? Unfortunately, that’s not how this works. Bo Horvat is a good player, but I don’t think he’s the player the Red Wings need.
I’m sorry, how many Stanley Cup rings do you have?
Let’s end on a positive note here. Dan is spot on. You could argue three of their top six forwards have been out most of the year. Not ideal. I would also add, while guys like Filip Hronek, Olli Maata and Jake Walman have played well on the back end. Moritz Seider hasn’t taken that next step yet, like we all hoped.
